  • Always ask why – Don’t accept anything at “face value” if it doesn’t make sense to you. Be curious and question what you don’t understand. Healthy, vigorous debate creates better solutions. There’s no better question than “Why?” Never stop asking it.

  • Show the customer we care - Whether the customer is calling or walking in our front door; they have a problem and are looking for someone to help them. Show them we care by answering the phone by the third ring and acknowledging them as they walk in the door.
  • Stay Focused – Your job requires your full attention to avoid costly and potentially dangerous mistakes. Put the phone away, keep alert, and stay focused on your tasks throughout the day.
  • Keep busy – Customers often come in waves but there is always something to do. Whether it is sweeping the floor or organizing the tools. Everything makes a difference in efficiency and appearance.
